Product distribution is a very important link in the Supply Chain Management process. Products produced in various factories located in different locations have to be sent to retailers at scattered locations, depending on their demand. Once the products have reached the warehouses, the main important activities begin. These activities range from receiving stock from company factories, inventory management, order bookings to packing and distribution to retailers, billing, receivable collections, handling sales returns etc.

In pharmaceutical industries though, due to the peculiarity of the product and packs, along with batch numbers and expiry dates, the whole cycle gets increasingly complicated and sensitive. To handle this time-sensitive activity in a smooth manner, Ember's Distribution system was designed and makes most impact when used in company warehouses to manage flow and inventory.

Ember was involved in over-viewing and understanding the existing distribution process, an intensive system study, development, implementation and user training in this project.
